Welcome to Heart Bar X Quarter Horses and Pembroke Welsh Corgis. We are a
small husband-and-wife operation, located in the Kittitas Valley in Central Washington.

We started raising quality Quarter Horses in 1994. Our goal with our horses is to raise
an athletic all-around horse. We like a horse that is pleasing to the eye, with size and a
good mind. With our own riding horses, we strive to create a true bridle horse trained
in the "vaquero tradition".

We purchased our first Pembroke Welsh Corgi in 1999, and fell in love with the
breed. We enjoyed her so much that we decided one just was not enough. We have
since added three more Corgis to our family. Our goal for our puppies is to adhere to breed
standards, which is very important to us. We also value a well-adjusted dog that becomes a valued
family member. Our dogs are athletic, playful, loving and truly have enriched our lives.

Mari will be the next female to have a litter of puppies.  We expect her to cycle some
time fall/early winter.

We have a small operation on purpose. We choose to give individual attention to all of
our animals. Our Corgis are not kennel raised—they live with us on a daily basis. Our
horses are not stalled and live as a herd in the pasture.
